Information Security Senior Leader - Dublin or London

My client is one of Europe’s largest in-house IT service providers supplying solutions to 150,000 employees worldwide. This internal technology organisation employs over 10,000 people in a global shared services matrix providing interconnected hardware, software, networking, cloud, data centers and cyber security.

Information Security (IS) embraces all these activities and a new senior role has arisen within the IS leadership team.

We are seeking an executive to co-lead the IS function, implementation of the IS strategy, aligning it with the overlying business objectives and regulation, building data security operations which protect every part of the global enterprise they support. This is fantastic opportunity to contribute and influence at the highest level across a highly regulated and fast-changing business landscape.

The role will be responsible for ensuring all technology platforms, collaboration tools, infrastructure and workplace systems operate securely, comply with relevant regulations and protect sensitive corporate and customer data. It is a broad role that embraces the entire spectrum of SecOps and InfoSec.

The Role

• Co-lead development and implementation of the complete security operations strategy
• Apply deep hands-on technical know-how in all aspects of SecOps and InfoSec
• Support leadership around incident response efforts, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents
• Promote and manage the increasing importance of IS across all business units
• Assure and optimise operational excellence throughout IS domain
• Stay current with emerging security trends, technologies and threats
• Recommend appropriate actions to enhance organization’s security
• Influence and collaborate with senior leadership stakeholders

What you bring

• 15 years + technical experience across the entire IS operations spectrum
• Very wide technical knowledge crucial – breadth of experience is preferred over specialism in a specific IS domain
• Strong knowledge of IS principles, technologies and best practice across IAM, SecOps, IT Ops and InfoSec
• Proven track record in senior technical leadership roles, managing very large matrices
• Experience with security frameworks, standards and regulations (i.e. DORA, NIST, MITRE)
• Knowledge of AI technologies, principles and their practical use

This is an executive level position working for one of the best employers in the world, and you will receive an excellent rewards package. The role is full-time based in either Dublin or South West London, requiring local residency in either country. Support with relocation could be provided however visa sponsorship is sadly not available. Fluent business English is essential and there will be regular international travel.
