Senior Analytics Engineer

About the role

We're building a real-world social platform. Matched meetups that get people out of their homes and turn strangers into friends. It works. Now we need someone to build the data infrastructure that helps us scale it.

As our Senior Analytics Engineer you'll own everything data: event tracking, pipelines, the dashboards that drive our decisions. If a metric matters to the business, you built the system that surfaces it.

We're an AI-first team - that includes BI. We're building AI-powered dashboards and we want someone who finds that exciting and has done this in the past.

You'll be one of our first 10 team members. Early enough to shape how we instrument, what we trust, and how decisions get made. If you've spent years in a SaaS or subscription business and you intuitively know which numbers lie and which ones matter, you'll fit right in.

What you’ll be doing

Data infrastructure

• Own data architecture decisions and tooling selection across marketing, revenue, finance, product, and operations
• Set up and maintain a data warehouse 
• Set up experimentation tooling
• Ensure data accuracy, freshness, and consistency
• Implement data validation, anomaly detection, and monitoring

Tracking

• Build attribution tracking for Meta Ads, Google Ads, email and other channels
• Measure reliable data at every step of the acquisition funnel 
• Diagnose and resolve tracking discrepancies across platforms
• Work with other teams to implement and QA tracking changes

Data analysis

• Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership
• Build forecasting models for revenue, churn, and growth scenarios
• Identify leading indicators and growth constraints
• Support strategic decisions around pricing, roadmap, and scale strategy
• Implement cohort dashboards, churn prediction tools, and LTV/CAC reporting
• Segmentation by geographies, niches, channels, etc
• User feedback analysis
• Operational efficiency analysis

Experimentation

• Set success metrics and guardrails for experiments
• Run A/B tests on landing pages, onboarding funnels, pricing pages, upsells, etc
• Evaluating A/B tests and suggesting new ones

Product & business insights

• Analyze user behavior across onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention
• Identify friction points and drop-offs in core user journeys
• Partner with product, marketing, and ops to drive improvements

Requirements

Essential:

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience working with a subscription/SaaS business (familiar with metrics such as MRR, churn, cash conversion cycle,...)
• Comfortable working with SQL, data modeling, BI, retention/LTV analysis, attribution, and forecasting.
• AI-first mindset - ability to heavily rely on AI tools and build in such a way that we can keep leveraging AI in the future
• Strong revenue strategy mindset: understands monetisation, pricing, payback logic, and CAC/LTV trade-offs.
• Comfortable working in ambiguity, adapting to changes and wearing multiple hats
• Ability to identify ideal software and integrate it into the company’s workflow
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently without constant oversight
• A lot of drive, energy, and time.
• Ability to work from our office in Ljubljana city center

Bonus points:

• Previous startup experience (especially early-stage)
• Experience building teams from scratch
• You are based close to Ljubljana (or willing to move)
