Job description
DLL is searching for a Machine Learning Specialist. Both Senior and Medior are OK. 6 months, 32-40 hours per week.
• We are not looking for a Data Scientist or a Data Engineer, the position is related to the ML Ops part of the model lifecycle.
As a Machine Learning Specialist, you will be the linking pin between the business and IT development. You optimize the (ML) Model workflow in DLL, development and deployment, with a platform approach. We are looking at automating the entire Model Lifecycle as much as possible. That we intend to set up self-service onboarding of new models, where the intention is to have minimum manual intervention as possible. Also, we need to provide and maintain stable platform(s), which can serve models in a secure/regulatory compliant way. You will work closely with IT and departments like Group Analytics (modelers), and Risk and Data Management. The platforms are the Model Lifecycle and Model Execution Platforms.

Day to day:
- Gathering business and functional data requirements
- Be a sparring partner for product owners and other stakeholders
- Create solution designs and data models, with your team and in alignment with architectural guidelines
- Create designs and ensure solutions are built according to the designs and guidelines.
- As a team player help out where needed to get the job done
- Create User Stories in close alignment with team and stakeholders
- Embedding IT requirements, security, compliance and non-functional requirements – and taking into account architecture landscape and target state.
- Be involved in System Test and UAT, check whether built solution fulfills acceptance criteria from a technical perspective
- Organize test activities/ events and follow-up on findings, following DLL policy regarding testing
- Ensures that deliveries by the team is supported with proper documentation

Essentials:
- Is passionate about data and data processing
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Azure-based systems. Experience with Azure, Databricks, CI/CD, MLOps, Automation.
- 3+ years of hand-on experience with software development using (preferably) Python or other programming language
- Understand/knows relevant business processes related with Banking and Risk/Modeling or can learn them quickly.
- Has experience in talking to business users to gather requirements for setting up the appropriate DevOps pipelines. Can ask 5x why.
- Can switch from details to the bigger picture and back. Can always look at requirements/wishes as part of the bigger picture.
- Can explain requirements to developers (via User stories), has experience working within Azure DEVOPS
- Can work in an environment where a day will never be as planned. Is flexible in these situations, but also able to push back where needed.
- Can facilitate workshops with business to define process, requirements, and impact on current way of working.
- Can set priorities or challenge priorities.
- Has a can-do mentality, (no 9-5 mentality)
- Speaks/writes English fluently.
