At Enexis, we deliver energy where people need light and heat. Our network is the energy infrastructure of tomorrow. We are pioneers in making the energy supply smarter, more sustainable, and more efficient.
Enexis is developing into an IT-driven company. Many departments now use Business Process Modelling (BPM) to automate their processes and workflows. Enexis has chosen Flow-able for this, where we build solutions for our internal clients using a combination of Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Enexis has gained considerable experience, and our successes are driving demand for this expertise.
We are looking for developers with extensive expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript, as well as building RESTful APIs, for various departments. To fully integrate into our development teams, it's important that, in addition to your technical programming experience, you also possess knowledge of BPMN modelling and template design, minimizing the reliance on high-code solutions for our business analysts and process experts. Practical experience with Flowable or similar Business Process Management packages like Camunda is therefore a strong plus.
What will you be doing?
You'll work in a DevOps team with a product owner, analysts, developers, testers, administrators, and system architect(s). Our IT organization uses the SAFe/Agile framework for collaboration. Your role will involve building process automation solutions for business processes based on Flowable. You'll program Flowable building blocks in Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript, which allow processes to be configured based on BPMN. Your focus will be on back-end tasks, with the front-end (mostly) built in Mendix (low-code). Your responsibilities include developing high-quality code that conforms to the Enexis Standards, ensuring this quality through automated testing and code reviews, and implementing security measures to protect the code, systems, and data of our customers and organization.
What do we expect?
- We expect you to be a team player with a natural curiosity and a willingness to ask colleagues about functional and technical issues you encounter. You should be proactive in proposing improvements.
- You should have extensive knowledge of several of the following technologies and expertise: Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript, RESTful APIs, SOAP services, RDBMSs (Postgress/MS-SQL), Document-DB (e.g., MongoDB), HTML5, CSS3, CI/CD tools, Cloud, JIRA, GIT, and security.
- You must be fluent in at least one programming language
- Familiar with BPMN (2.0)
- Good communication skills (also towards non-programmers)
- You find structure and standards just as important as speed of building
- Results-oriented with an eye for quality and manageability in the long term
- Flexibility / can deal with a dynamic work environment
- Creative and problem-solving skills
- Analytical skills to think functionally but also to reason about matters from a different level of abstraction (helicopter view)
- You can be present at the office in Den Bosch at least 1 to 2 days a week (primary location, we also have other offices in the country where you can meet with the team in consultation)
- Good professional command of Dutch (min. CEFR C1) and English (min. CEFR B2).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and SAFe is an advantage.
