About the role

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join a project in the banking/FinTech sector, focused on building a modern, scalable analytics platform for investment and brokerage services. This role combines test automation, security validation, and performance testing in a highly regulated environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of a platform handling complex financial data and analytical content. You will work closely with developers, testers, and stakeholders in Agile teams, contributing to test strategy, automation frameworks, and continuous improvement of the testing process.

About the project

The project aims to design and develop a modern analytics platform for the banking sector, supporting:

• creation and management of analytical content (market insights, company analyses, valuations)
• distribution of reports to institutional and individual clients
• tracking and analysis of user engagement with content

The solution must meet high standards of security, availability, and compliance, including:

• OWASP security guidelines
• WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards
• mobile-first, fully responsive architecture (RWD)

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automated tests for web applications
• Support manual testing where needed across the SDLC
• Perform security testing based on OWASP Top 10 / ASVS
• Conduct performance and load testing using tools like jMeter or Locust
• Collaborate in Agile teams with developers and QA engineers
• Define and execute test strategies
• Report and track defects using Jira
• Create test documentation and sprint reports
• Suggest improvements to testing processes and product quality

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
• At least 1 year of experience in web test automation
• Hands-on experience with security testing and/or pentesting
• Experience with performance testing (jMeter or Locust)
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 / ASVS guidelines
• Experience with REST API testing
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Good knowledge of JavaScript, Java, or Kotlin
• Ability to build automation frameworks from scratch
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
• Strong Git knowledge (including advanced workflows)
• Experience with IDEs (IntelliJ, Android Studio, or Xcode)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in Polish (C1) and English (B2)

Nice to have

• Experience with AI tools supporting QA (Codex, Cursor, CodeRabbit)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and security/access tools
• Previous experience in FinTech, banking, or regulated environments
