Project Manager (eCommerce / Magento) – NL Team

We are currently expanding our presence in the Netherlands to support our growing local client base and strengthen our position as a trusted technology partner for eCommerce businesses.

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience in digital / eCommerce projects to join our team and work closely with Dutch clients.

This is a full-time remote role, with occasional in-person meetings in the Netherlands and participation in industry events (e.g. Webwinkel Vakdagen).

The collaboration is planned as a contractor (ZZP) setup, offering a stable, long-term engagement with a consistent monthly workload.

What you will do

• Lead eCommerce development projects end-to-end
• Manage communication with clients and stakeholders
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (backend, frontend, QA, DevOps)
• Plan sprints, releases, and project timelines
• Define priorities and ensure delivery according to scope and deadlines
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and blockers
• Ensure clear task descriptions, estimations, and workflow in Jira
• Monitor project progress, quality, and team performance
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Report project status and align expectations with stakeholders

Team & workflow

• Structured development teams working across multiple projects
• Daily stand-ups and ongoing communication via Slack, Zoom..
• Tools: Jira, Confluence, Tempo
• Well-defined processes with a dedicated Process Auditor role supporting delivery quality
• Project teams typically include backend developers, frontend developers, QA engineers, as well as DevOps, SysOps, and designers when needed

Methodology

We follow a flexible hybrid approach (Scrumban), adapting processes to client needs.

What we are looking for

• Experience as a Project Manager in digital / web / eCommerce projects
• Understanding of development processes and Agile methodologies
• Experience working with cross-functional tech teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in agency environment is a plus
• Familiarity with Magento / eCommerce platforms is a strong advantage
• Based in the Netherlands
