Senior Network Engineer

Penta Consulting are a technology service provider and leading outsourced partner helping to deliver professional and managed solutions across EMEA.

We’re looking for a Senior WAN Architect with 10+ years of experience to lead large‑scale WAN migration and design initiatives across enterprise data centers. This role blends architecture, hands‑on configuration, and migration leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end WAN migration strategy and execution
• Validate WAN design (topology, redundancy, routing, failover)
• Plan & execute link activations, routing changes, and cutovers
• Coordinate with ISPs, internal teams, and vendors (Cisco/Juniper)
• Review configs, IP schema, VLANs, cabling, and routing design
• Run readiness checks, testing, and failover simulations
• Provide L3 troubleshooting during/after cutovers
• Prepare runbooks, risk plans, and documentation

Technical Skills

• Strong L2/L3 routing & switching
• BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRF, QoS
• SD‑WAN & DCI experience
• Cisco: Catalyst, Nexus, C8500
• Juniper: QFX, EX, SRX, MX
• Knowledge of DWDM, firewalls, load balancers, DC cabling
• Experience with network testing/monitoring tools
