International HR Generalist 100%

(limited contract from January 1st, 2025, to September 30th, 2025)


Job Description

In this position you are supporting the HR team in providing excellent HR services to all STAAR Surgical international subsidiaries in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Middle east. Your office will be located in Brügg.

  • Managing administration for the whole life cycle of employees (hiring requests, contracts, employee letters, departure etc.), follow up with local agencies, Quality documents and Checklists
  • Managing the recruitment process, this includes writing and publishing job advertisements, pre-selecting candidates, gathering references, establish offer letter, participate in interviews
  • Registering and update of employee data into our ERP (Abacus)
  • Provide support in monthly international payroll preparation, upload payroll files for employees in online portal
  • Superuser of Employee Compliancy eLearning tool (register employees, assign trainings, conduct controls of training completion
  • Support in Annual Performance Review process, merit increase and salary benchmark process, provide support in audits
  • Provide support to International HR Manager in employee life cycle topics


Your profile

  • Commercial apprenticeship or similar and completed HR further education (for example certified HR Assistant) or bachelor’s degree in business administration
  • Solid professional experience of ideally 3 years in International HR, experience as HR Business Partner is a plus
  • Very good English skills is a must, both in oral and written, French and/or German desirable, any other language is a plus
  • Excellent professional IT Skills (especially in MS Office)
  • Able to work in an international environment and in virtual teams, very well structured, organized, and flexible
