Head of Engineering (Instrument and Control)

  • Responsible for overseeing I&C engineering activities, ensuring all technical requirements such as project specifications, data sheets, etc. are in full compliance with project requirements, standardised processes, and are delivered to the highest technical quality standards.
  • Perform a cold eye review of the I&C deliverables and propose changes, if considered mandatory.
  • Provide clear guidance to the EPC contractor, sub-contractors and vendors and facilitate resolution of I&C technical issues to complete I&C engineering activities to meet project objectives and milestones.
  • During start-up and early operations phases, until the performance tests completion, provide ad hoc field engineering assistance.
  • Major challenges for this role include:
  • effectively managing EPC contract and I&C engineering team to produce timely deliverables up to Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC),
  • maintaining constructive working relationship with EPC contractor to ensure delivery of engineering work scope in accordance with project requirements,
  • maintaining proper relationship with key stakeholders (e.g. Operations), and
  • ensuring high quality of I&C engineering deliverables.
  • Smart junction boxes used for all field instrument
  • Delivering a very large scope of work to achieve project expectations
  • Required to contribute to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in I&C specialised/discipline area
