Senior Project Manager – Netherlands & European Projects

Salary: €80,000 – €100,000 per annum + benefits


About the Role

A leading international workplace and interior design consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their Amsterdam team, overseeing high-value commercial office fit-out projects across the Netherlands and wider Europe.

This role will focus on delivering complex workplace interior projects, typically valued between €5–10m, working closely with an established European Preconstruction and Delivery team. The successful candidate must have strong experience delivering projects within the Dutch market and a solid understanding of local regulations, procurement routes, and construction practices.

This is a highly client-facing position requiring excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to coordinate international teams across multiple European locations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage commercial office fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final delivery.
  • Work closely with the European Preconstruction team on budgeting, procurement strategy, programme management, and design coordination.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong long-term relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities across the Netherlands and Europe.
  • Ensure all projects comply with Dutch building regulations, health & safety requirements, and local authority approvals.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, reporting, and risk management processes.
  • Support and mentor junior project management staff within the Amsterdam and wider European teams.
  • Drive quality assurance and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.


Requirements

  • Minimum 8–10 years’ experience managing large-scale commercial office interior or workplace projects.
  • Proven experience delivering projects within the Netherlands is essential.
  • Strong understanding of Dutch construction regulations, permitting processes, and local market practices.
  • Experience managing projects across wider European markets would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent project management skills including financial control, scheduling, procurement, and team coordination.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel across Europe when required.
  • Degree qualified in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management and construction software platforms.
  • Dutch language skills would be highly beneficial, although not essential.
