Hardware Engineer

pawaTech is looking for a Hardware Engineer with a genuine passion for hardware, a curiosity for getting to the root cause of technical issues, and a drive to help people. As part of our team, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware systems, ensuring reliable day-to-day operations across our environments.

Compensation range: €2800 - €3500 monthly gross.

What you’ll be doing:

• Maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting office hardware and employee workstations;
• Managing company hardware assets, including tracking inventory, managing lifecycle processes, scheduling maintenance, and coordinating warranty and non-warranty repairs;
• Ordering hardware and accessories, coordinating with suppliers and resellers, negotiating pricing and availability, and organizing logistics and deliveries;
• Preparing, configuring, and delivering hardware for employees and contractors;
• Supporting day-to-day technical issues related to hardware, workplace IT, and common software environments;
• Assisting employees with troubleshooting operating systems, applications, and general workplace IT issues;
• Advising HR and management on hardware selection based on employee needs and company standards;
• Coordinating with IT and software teams to resolving cross-functional technical issues and improving overall IT operations.

What makes you a great candidate:

• Hands-on experience in hardware support, IT support, or workstation maintenance;
• Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software-related issues;
• Good practical knowledge of Windows and MacOS systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair;
• Familiarity with macOS, Linux, basic networking, and common office IT infrastructure;
• Experience with hardware asset management, procurement, and vendor/service provider coordination;
• Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with suppliers, resellers, and service partners;
• Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple support, maintenance, and logistics tasks;
• Good communication skills and a user-oriented mindset;
• Interest in broader IT Operations and willingness to work across both hardware and software support areas.

Extra expertise we appreciate:

• Experience with Jira or other ticketing systems;
• Experience supporting distributed teams, labs, or production environments;
• Understanding of procurement, hardware lifecycle management, logistics, and workplace IT operations.
