This is a start-up Deep tech compnay who have already been bought earkly in their existance to maximise impact int heir domain. They develop AI-powered positioning technology for autonomous systems that operate where GPS cannot be trusted. Their work sits at the edge of what's currently possible - bridging cutting-edge research in visual localisation, sensor fusion and foundation models into production-grade software that gets deployed in the field.
This role is for someone who can move fluently between theory and implementation. You'll be working on genuinely open problems, alongside a small existing team.
Core areas of work
- Visual SLAM & VIO, Sensor fusion, Photogrammetry, Visual localisation, Guidance navigation & control, Novel view synthesis, VLMs & multimodal models, Embedded Camera Systems etc...
You do not need all of that, but an ability to work across those domains int he roel - this is a senior role, someone who has soem good experince under their belt and can come make an impact from day one.
Most CV roles want engineers who can run a detection pipeline. This one wants someone who understands why it works and can still push things forward when it doesn't.
