The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations & Security Manager to oversee the technology infrastructure, operational processes, and information security frameworks. This is brand new, greenfield hire.

Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this role will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and security of IT systems while driving efficiency and innovation.

This is a blended position across IT & Cyber (roughly 70-30%).

This is a greenfield position - with lots of unique propositions, allowing you to have a vast array of opportunities to drive the overall agenda.

• Lead daily IT operations & develop and execute an IT Security Roadmap
• Manage offshore resources, technology vendors, and service providers.
• Maintain and enhance information security frameworks, policies, and controls to meet compliance standards.
• Oversee the IT Risk Register and chair the IT Risk Management Committee.
• Ensure thorough audit logging, vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and patch updates, seeing these through to resolution.
• Monitor and handle data breaches, cyberattacks, and other security incidents with effective response strategies.
• Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer to maintain and improve the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan.

What we need from you?

• 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in IT operations or security.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced fintech environment.
• Strong knowledge of operational risk management and corporate governance principles.
• Technical expertise with AWS IT infrastructure, networks, services, and systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage complex IT challenges.

Location: Sydney, Australia

• WFH arrangements: 3-4 days in the office PW
• Eligibility: Candidates must be fully authorized to work in Australia

Package: Roughly $210-250,000 range
