Data Quality Analyst

Job Title: Data Quality Analyst – Advanced

Location: Bedford, NS (On-site, 4 days/week)

Duration: 12 months (extension TBD)

Schedule: 37.5 hours/week

Role Overview:

Seeking a Data Quality Analyst to support a Data Controls team within Core Data Services. The role focuses on ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across enterprise data systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data profiling, analysis, and validation
• Design and implement data quality (DQ) rules
• Support UAT testing activities
• Conduct root cause analysis of data issues
• Collaborate with technology teams and data consumers
• Participate in program/project meetings
• Produce management reporting and insights
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in data quality, data controls, and data analysis
• Advanced SQL and query design skills
• Python proficiency
• Microsoft Excel (advanced)
• Data profiling and pattern recognition
• Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Experience with JIRA or similar tracking tools
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice to Have:

• R programming experience
• Master’s degree

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication (written and verbal)
• Strong analytical and investigative mindset
• Ability to simplify complex data concepts for varied audiences
• Excellent time management and collaboration skills

Tools & Technologies:

SQL, Python, Excel, JIRA

Work Environment:

On-site in Bedford, NS with flexibility for 1 day remote per week. Collaborative, fast-paced data team environment.
