About The Role

SupportFinity™ is seeking a skilled PHP Web Developer to join our dedicated Web team onsite in Burlington, MA. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our corporate website and global intranet, which include a mix of internally developed tools and open-source software. Your responsibilities will encompass adding new features, improving existing functionalities, and ensuring the platform remains aligned with current design trends and user experience standards. You will work closely with front-end developers, content creators, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless, efficient, and innovative web solutions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, possess strong technical expertise, and be committed to writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code that supports our company’s strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in PHP development with a solid understanding of MVC frameworks, preferably Zend Framework or Laminas Project.
• Strong JavaScript skills, including experience with vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, or VueJS.
• Familiarity with MySQL or similar relational database systems.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, well-structured, and unit-testable code using tools such as PHPUnit.
• Experience working with legacy codebases and upgrading them to modern frameworks and libraries.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Current eligibility to work in the United States; sponsorship for employment-based visas will not be provided.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop new web tools and features based on specifications provided by front-end teams and project stakeholders.
• Enhance and improve existing tools by adding new functionalities and optimizing performance.
• Assist in migrating and upgrading the current codebase from outdated libraries to modern frameworks such as Laminas.
• Implement UX/UI design decisions by writing JavaScript code to enhance user interaction and interface.
• Utilize Git for version control, ensuring clear commit messages and proper referencing of tickets and project issues.
• Perform benchmarking, profiling, and debugging to ensure optimal performance and reliability of web applications.
• Collaborate closely with content developers, marketing teams, and front-end designers to deliver cohesive and engaging web experiences.
• Participate in code reviews and team meetings to ensure best practices and continuous improvement.
