Introduction
We are seeking a Project Procurement Manager to join our Supply team in the Smelting Business Line! You will be responsible for procurement activities within nominated customer projects. Your role is crucial for ensuring the success of customer projects by placing purchase orders in a timely manner and negotiating favorable terms. In this position, you will report to Director, Smelting Supply.
The primary location for this position is Espoo, Finland. We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

What you do:
- Lead procurement activities in assigned customer projects by ensuring the Procurement Project Plan is prepared, maintained, and carried out according to project needs.
- Ensure the proper use of Metso favorable commercial terms & conditions in project purchase negotiations and contracting.
- Deploy common global processes and procedures, and adapt to local requirements
- Manage the bidding process and the bid evaluation process
- Prepare and file the project-specific purchasing documentation
- Comply with Sourcing rules in Supplier selections and adhere to existing Product Procurement Plans
- Manage supplier invoices and guarantee issues
- Participate in the claim process and own escalation in material-related topics
- Act as a key contact to suppliers during customer projects in commercial matters
- You have either a Commercial or Technical background paired with a solid understanding of supply processes and practices
- You have strong negotiation and contract management skills
- You possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Other languages are considered an asset.
- You bring a strong drive and a performance-oriented mindset to the table.
- You approach tasks with a high sense of urgency and a hands-on mentality
- You take ownership of decision-making in your area of responsibility.
- Previous experience in SAP and MS Office applications is required.
