Our client is a leading ISP and Network Provider in the Utrecht area, renowned for delivering reliable, high-performance internet and network solutions. The company relies heavily on Power BI and Azure Data Lakehouse for their reporting needs, turning data into actionable insights that drive the business forward.

The role

As a Data & Reporting Specialist, your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards. You will play a key role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that support decision-making across the organization. Your expertise in Power BI, combined with a strong understanding of business needs, will help shape our client's reporting strategy and ensure that the teams have the data they need at their fingertips.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports, dashboards and apps.
• Create clear and understandable data visualizations that provide clear insights into business performance and trends;
• Optimize Power BI reports and semantic models for performance, ensuring fast load times and user-friendly experiences;
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions;
• Develop and implement reporting standards and best practices to ensure consistency and accuracy across all reports;
• Continuously improve and innovate on reporting processes, incorporating user feedback and staying updated with the latest Power BI features;
• Collaborate with data engineers and other team members to streamline data flows and improve data accessibility for reporting;
• Act as a key point of contact for reporting needs within the organization, providing support and training to end-users on Power BI;
• Present data insights and reports to stakeholders, explaining complex data concepts in a clear and understandable manner;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that reporting aligns with business objectives and provides actionable insights.

Your profile

• At least three years of experience in a data and reporting role, with a strong focus on Power BI.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining complex Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Experience working with various data sources and integrating them into Power BI;
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, Python and data visualization best practices;
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights;
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate reports and UX;
• Ability to work on-site in the Utrecht area for at least 3 days a week;
• A proactive, solution-oriented attitude and a passion for data-driven decision-making;
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and keeping up with the latest developments in Power BI and data visualization;
• And most of all you are a team player that also loves to actively participate in (often sporty 😊) team events.
