DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer | Brisbane | $150k + Super

We are working with an Australian technology company providing cloud-based project management software for the construction and fit-out industries.

Due to internal growth, they are looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the department. You must have a coding background.

What You’ll Do:

• Architect, deploy, and oversee Kubernetes clusters to support containerized applications.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline software deployment and testing.
• Implement and refine infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform and Helm while exploring new technologies.
• Administer and enhance cloud infrastructure, with a preference for GCP (AWS or Azure experience also considered).
• Work closely with development teams to strengthen system scalability, security, and overall performance.
• Proactively monitor, diagnose, and improve cloud environments to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions to enhance software development and operational processes.
• Enforce and uphold security best practices and industry compliance standards.
• Create robust and scalable technology solutions to address team challenges and minimize operational dependencies.

What You Need:

• Strong software development background with solid programming expertise.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, including direct management of clusters.
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Proficiency in Helm for Kubernetes application deployment and management.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Track record of implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, using tools like Jenkins, Tekton, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, with GCP preferred but AWS or Azure also considered.
• Capability to build cloud infrastructure and clusters from the ground up.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to excel in fast-paced, agile environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, fostering a collaborative and productive work culture.

Salary & Benefits:

• Up to $150k + Super
• Hybrid work model available (Brisbane-based role)
