Mobile Application Developer

Mobile Application Developer | 6-Month Contract | Sydney

Our client is seeking a Mobile Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. This role is critical in delivering high-quality, user-friendly applications and requires strong technical expertise in modern mobile development frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development
• Develop and maintain robust, scalable mobile applications for iOS (Swift, SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin, RxJava, Coroutines).
• CI/CD Implementation
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes to ensure efficient delivery.
• Testing & Quality Assurance
• Write and execute unit tests to ensure code reliability and quality.
• Collaborate with QA engineers on functional and performance testing.
• Collaboration & Code Reviews
• Work closely with designers, back-end developers, and product managers to define and implement features.
• Participate in code reviews to improve development practices.
• Performance Optimisation
• Optimise applications for maximum performance, scalability, and security.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in mobile development.

Key Skills & Experience

Must-Have:

• iOS Development: Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI.
• Android Development: Proficiency in Kotlin, RxJava, and Coroutines.
• CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions.
• Testing: Strong knowledge of unit testing for mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVP).
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs with mobile applications.
• Proficiency with Git and version control systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (JIRA, Azure DevOps).

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with mobile analytics tools (Firebase, Google Analytics).
• Knowledge of App Store and Google Play submission processes.
