About The Role

We are hiring a highly skilled Fullstack Developer with a strong background in backend and fullstack engineering to join our remote team in Canada. The ideal candidate will have over 9 years of hands-on experience in Java development, with additional expertise in Node.js, AWS, and microservices architecture. This is a critical role that requires both technical depth and the ability to work independently on complex tasks in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable backend and fullstack solutions using Java (Vertx framework a plus), Node.js, and Golang
  • Design and implement microservices-based architectures, focusing on event-driven systems and robust APIs (REST and GraphQL)
  • Build and maintain frontend components using JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular, incorporating UI/UX best practices
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases including DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Postgres, and Aurora
  • Leverage AWS cloud services (Compute, Networking, Security, VPCs, Fargate, EKS, API Gateway) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Utilize CI/CD tools like Jenkins and messaging systems like Kafka/MKS
  • Implement operational monitoring using Prometheus, CloudWatch, Kibana, and PagerDuty
  • Apply strong testing methodologies and best practices across frontend and backend systems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, maintainable code
  • Take initiative on assignments with minimal supervision and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in backend and fullstack development
  • Advanced knowledge of Java, Node.js; Golang and Vertx framework experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in microservices architecture, API development (REST/GraphQL), and event-driven systems
  • Strong frontend skills in React or Angular, HTML/CSS, and UI/UX principles
  • Expertise in AWS infrastructure and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Fargate, Docker)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, logging, and monitoring systems
  • Proven track record of writing maintainable, testable, and high-performance code
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
