About The Role

We are looking for a Staff Engineer, Frontend Development to lead the design and development of user-facing systems that power PadSplit’s platform for both members and hosts. You’ll play a critical role in crafting intuitive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces that align with our mission and drive business outcomes. This is a fully remote role with the opportunity to work with a fast-growing team of innovators dedicated to social impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead frontend architecture decisions and define coding standards across projects
  • Develop, test, and maintain scalable and maintainable frontend code using React and TypeScript
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless and engaging user experiences
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
  • Optimize web performance and ensure responsive, accessible UI/UX
  • Design and implement solutions for complex frontend challenges across PadSplit’s digital products
  • Improve tooling and CI/CD workflows to streamline development
  • Prioritize accessibility and inclusion in all aspects of frontend development

Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in modern frontend technologies, particularly React and TypeScript
  • Experience in building complex systems and designing scalable architecture
  • Track record of technical leadership, team collaboration, and mentorship
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization and accessibility best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly to stakeholders
  • Passion for social impact and solving real-world problems through technology
  • Adaptable mindset and willingness to learn new technologies as needed
