Network Engineer

We’re looking for an IT Network Engineer (m/f) to join our client in Luxembourg.

Location: Luxembourg

Mode: On-site with teleworking flexibility, aligned with current legislation

Contract: CDI (open for permanent employees and/or freelancers)

Language requirement: Fluent French & English.

Salary: To be discussed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience working with Cisco network devices and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with SolarWinds network monitoring and management.
• Strong knowledge of network backup solutions and disaster recovery procedures.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and best practices related to network security and data integrity.
• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) are highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Fluent French & English

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support Cisco-based network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related technologies.
• Monitor network performance and health using SolarWinds, implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime.
• Perform operational tasks such as system backups, network configuration changes, and firmware updates.
• Conduct regular network assessments to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to maintain service continuity.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configuration records.
• Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to ensure network integrity and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in the planning and execution of network upgrades and improvements.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of network systems.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
