Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in AS400/iSeries development, particularly using RPG, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CL, and Lansa. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting and enhancing mission-critical systems such as payroll and credit card platforms. The role involves full SDLC responsibilities, including coding, testing, troubleshooting, and implementing enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the IBM AS400/iSeries platform using RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQLRPGLE, and Lansa.
• Support and maintain existing Payroll and Credit Card Processing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects reported by QA teams or clients.
• Participate in system design, development, testing, and documentation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feature development and system integration.
• Manage and optimize database operations using IBM DB2.
• Utilize tools like JIRA and follow structured SDLC and Agile development practices.
• Provide technical support and solutions in line with customer requirements and SLAs.
• Ensure system compliance, security, and data integrity throughout all processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of experience in software development on IBM iSeries/AS400 systems.
• Strong expertise in RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQLRPGLE, and IBM DB2.
• Experience with Lansa, C language, and system integration is a plus.
• Deep domain knowledge in Payroll systems and Credit Card processing (Visa/MasterCard) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and issue tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
