Lead Data Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Expert Data Analyst who combines strong hands-on skills in data and requirements analysis with a broad understanding of the software development lifecycle.

You’ll be asking questions such as: Are we making solid architectural decisions? Can we improve our tech stack? Are we focusing on the right things?

What you’ll be doing

• Contributing to solution design, maintainability, and application architecture
• Designing both near real-time data pipelines and traditional analytics pipelines
• Working with product owners and stakeholders to clarify, elicit, and translate requirements into implementation specifications
• Data mapping, data modelling, solution design, and collaboration with information architects
• Performing quantitative data analysis to understand issues, explain implications, and recommend solutions
• Collaborating with developers and engineers, ensuring designs and solutions are clearly documented
• Building strong relationships and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
• Leading requirements elicitation (functional and non-functional) in a complex environment
• Documenting requirements, including use cases, and driving quality improvements
• Accessing complex, distributed datasets and conducting statistical analysis

Your experience and background

• 5–7 years’ experience designing data-intensive solutions, data architectures, and integration patterns
• Extensive hands-on experience with Apache Kafka – designing, building, and optimising real-time data streaming solutions
• Strong understanding of requirement gathering and analysis techniques
• Expertise in translating business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications
• Excellent SQL skills (Oracle, MSSQL, or similar RDBMS)
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, Event Sourcing, microservices architecture, and clean code principles
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, REST, Maven, and JUnit
• Experience building distributed, highly available, high-throughput applications

Beneficial skills:

• Knowledge of the banking and payments domain (ISO20022, SEPA, SWIFT)
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
