Back End Developer (Data & AI Projects)

STACC is looking for a skilled Back End Developer to join our data engineering team in Tartu. You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining the back-end systems and data infrastructure that power our AI and machine learning solutions across diverse industries – from energy and e-commerce to digital government and industry.

What you'll do

As a Back End Developer at STACC, you will:

• Develop and maintain scalable web APIs using Python
• Build and optimize data-intensive back-end applications and scripts
• Containerize applications with Docker for smooth deployment
• Conduct code reviews and apply best practices in QA
• Collaborate with data scientists and other developers
• Help shape development guidelines and technical direction
• Research and implement new technologies to enhance our stack

What we're looking for

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have 3+ years of experience in software development (preferably with Python)
• Are comfortable working with databases, Linux, Docker, Git, and modern IDEs
• Understand unit testing and code quality practices
• Adapt easily to new projects and technical challenges
• Communicate clearly in both Estonian and English
• Bonus: experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, or cloud services
