About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled IOS Application Mobile Developer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This role is based in London with the flexibility of remote working. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the iOS version of our client’s flagship application. Your contributions will directly impact millions of users across England, delivering a seamless and engaging user experience. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to produce high-quality, scalable, and performant features, ensuring the app adheres to the latest iOS standards and best practices. Your expertise will help optimize the app’s performance, stability, and usability, supporting the overall product lifecycle from conception through deployment and ongoing support.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over five years of professional experience in iOS development, with a strong command of Swift, Swift UI, and Xcode. A deep understanding of iOS design principles, interface guidelines, and the latest development trends is essential. Candidates should have experience working within MVVM architecture and applying SOLID principles to ensure clean, maintainable, and scalable code. Familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and delivery pipelines, is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing mobile applications for performance and stability. Knowledge of native OS features such as push notifications, HealthKit, and App Intents, along with experience integrating RESTful APIs, will be advantageous. Strong collaboration skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and document high-quality, scalable solutions for the iOS application using Swift and Swift UI.
- Create comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Optimize app solutions for performance, speed, and responsiveness to deliver an excellent user experience.
- Ensure compliance with Apple App Store requirements and guidelines for app submission and updates.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement visually consistent and intuitive interfaces that enhance user engagement.
- Support and troubleshoot applications in production, addressing issues proactively and efficiently.
- Maintain documentation for development processes, code, and system architecture.
- Stay updated with the latest iOS development trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve the app’s quality and performance.
