About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff iOS Engineer to join our dynamic software development team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of key components within our mobile applications, primarily focusing on iOS platforms. You will play a pivotal role in inspiring and managing a team of talented engineers, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful implementation of new features and enhancements. Your hands-on expertise in iOS development will contribute to building seamless, secure, and user-friendly banking experiences for our customers.

As part of our team, you will be involved in developing features that help Canadians manage their credit effectively, such as credit score monitoring, personal information management, and credit approval tools. Our technological environment emphasizes cloud-native solutions, open source frameworks, RESTful APIs, microservices, and containerization, enabling rapid deployment and continuous improvement of our products. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for innovation. Basic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in any field, along with a minimum of six years of hands-on experience developing native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI. Candidates should have extensive experience in application design, technical architecture, and full-cycle development. Proven leadership abilities in mentoring junior and intermediate engineers, as well as effective communication with stakeholders, are essential.

Preferred qualifications include over eight years of experience managing the complete software development lifecycle, familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, and experience working within agile teams. Knowledge of open source frameworks and modern development tools will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the delivery of major components and platform needs in collaboration with senior engineers and architects to ensure technical excellence and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with a dynamic mobile team throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle, from planning and design to testing and deployment.
• Enhance software engineering practices by contributing to the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of innovative technical solutions across a full stack of tools and technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior, intermediate, and senior mobile engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay informed about evolving technology trends and assess their impact on our domain, incorporating best practices into our development processes.
