About The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Lead iOS Developer to join our dynamic team at Bolinda Labs in Darmstadt. In this key role, you will be instrumental in advancing our flagship iOS application, ensuring it remains innovative, reliable, and user-friendly. You will lead the development efforts, making critical decisions regarding architecture and system design that impact hundreds of thousands of users in libraries and educational institutions. Your expertise will help shape the future of our digital library ecosystem, working closely with cross-functional teams including Android, Web, Backend, and Support. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence a product used by millions globally, providing both technical challenges and professional growth opportunities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, and RESTful APIs. Experience with modern Apple technologies such as Swift Concurrency, SQLite, AVFoundation, and Instruments is highly desirable. Familiarity with digital media formats like MP3, PDF, ePub, and related challenges is advantageous. Leadership experience, even at a junior level, is preferred, along with a passion for mentoring and team development. Fluency in both German and English, along with excellent communication skills, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, a strong sense of responsibility, and a keen interest in innovative technology solutions for digital media.
