About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company's web applications and websites. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to create engaging, user-friendly, and efficient digital platforms. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of web development technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Drayton Valley, AB, offering an opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• College diploma or CEGEP certification in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
• Between 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in web development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with content management systems, such as WordPress or Joomla.
• Knowledge of graphic design software and multimedia tools.
• Strong understanding of website optimization and responsive design principles.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Write, modify, integrate, and test software code to develop robust web applications and websites.
• Communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions effectively to team members and clients.
• Prepare detailed reports, manuals, and documentation regarding software operation and maintenance.
• Source, select, and organize information for website content, ensuring clarity and relevance.
• Design the appearance, layout, and flow of websites to enhance user experience.
• Create and optimize website content using a variety of graphics, database tools, animations, and multimedia software.
• Program animation software for interactive applications such as CDs, DVDs, video game cartridges, and internet-based applications.
• Develop and test software code for e-commerce platforms and other internet applications, ensuring functionality and security.
