About the role:
The IT Project Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing all SSI internal global IT projects, ensuring transparency across budgets, resources, risks, and project status. This role partners closely with senior management, PMO, and key IT functions to drive portfolio prioritization, strategic alignment, and value delivery across the organization.
What will you do:
- Plan and allocate internal resources across global internal IT projects.
- Identify, manage, and optimize dependencies across multiple global IT projects.
- Prioritize and coordinate the implementation of interfaces between IT initiatives.
- Proactively manage risks within the IT project portfolio and prevent escalations.
- Prepare and present IT project portfolio status to management.
- Support the creation, monitoring, and optimization of IT project budgets.
- Support demand management, PMO activities, and IT project controlling.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years experience in project and multi-project management within global environment.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking with the ability to simplify complex dependencies.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and business–IT translation skills.
- Governance-oriented mindset, with a strong understanding of standards, compliance and cost transparency.
- Strong knowledge of ERP and PLM systems.
- Experience with project management tools such as Planisware (or similar) and strong teamwork skills.
- Experience in managing complex, multi‑regional IT project portfolios and diverse stakeholder environments is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Informatics, or a related field; IPMA certification (level B).
- Fluent English skills, both spoken and written to cooperate with colleagues globally; German language skills are a plus.
